The Blaster worm (also known as Lovsan or Lovesan) was a computer worm that spread on computers running the Microsoft operating systems Windows XP and Windows 2000, during August 2003. The worm exploits the DCOM RPC vulnerability in Microsoft Windows described in MS Security Bulletin MS03-026. Blaster is written in C using the LCC compiler. The worm is a Windows PE EXE file about 6KB (compressed via UPX - 11KB when decompressed).[1]
